Mundials 2011 Results

I work weekends at my new-ish job, which I love, so I didn’t expect to be able to go down to LA for Mundials this year. However, my boss is super cool and they know I am working on this projects which they are super supportive of so off I went on a last moment whim and cheap return flight ticket through Jetblue (LA to the Bay, but also great for NYC to CA travel as well aka my homecoming flight). I hitched a red-eye ride with the WMMA Roundup gang and had a blast all weekend except for when the car died which sucked.

Here’s the results of what went down in Women’s BJJ Black & Brown Belt Division that weekend.

All in all, it was pretty spectacular to see all the BJJ idols in one location as well as a little reunion of sorts. This is where the Jiu Jitsu family comes together from all corners of the globe. I got to see people who I trained with in Rio (GF Team and Kyra Gracie), Tokyo (Sayaka-san from AACC) and many of my state side BJJ family, which continues to grow.

Looking forward to more travels, training and friends. I still have four more rolls of color to process so come back soon!
