Prints of the Week: Introducing the Gallery Shop
Just a quick update on the latest from the home of the Female Fighter Project…
I am proud to announce the grand opening of my online sales gallery. I have already sold a few pieces and am printing up a few of the above images
this week. Matt B. christened the online store with it’s first purchase of the one and only Megumi Fujii. The second print sold is one of my personal favorites of Japanese Professional Wrestler, Mai Iichi who also was training at AACC. In additional to the Female Fighter Project, I am also printing up a few images from the Physique series, one of which was mentioned on Lens Scratch (keep scrolling). Go big or go home with this one I am making 40″ wide! That’s the beauty of shooting medium format.
To top it off, artist, friend, and BJJ Mama, Melissa Wyman has an upcoming article in Santiago’s M Magazine which will be featuring images from our FFP shoot and an interview with her about her artwork.
I had the great opportunity to give a lecture, show some old work, and meet with students at my alma mater, Scripps College this past week. Thank you Asian American Student Union, Family, the Presidential Advisory Committee on Diversity and Inclusion, the Motley, SCORE Advisory and the Asian American Advisory Boards. I will be lecturing next month at Bryn Mawr and Swathmore Colleges. If you are interested in bringing me out to speak at your institution, please contact me. While in LA, I also got to train with Ana Laura Cordeiro and take a few shots which will be eventually posted after I ship it off to get processed etc… the beast of this whole shooting on film thing.
